Gordon, You missed the point. Any such loses at banks, even small ones, should be monitored. We can't allow banks or bank impersonators (like investment banks) to make these mistakes. We're playing with fire here. The burns are getting really bad, even worldwide. it's just a miniscule blip

Mel, You misread what I said. Banks FROM THE TOP DOWN should be held responsible for their actions causing injury to themselves. Self regulation is the wave of the future. It's highly successful in other industries monitored by the Federal Government, like automobiles and aviation.

The solution to this is simple. Require the banks to be self-regulating, just like the US Government does with other industries. If their is a mishap (recall) at a bank, then the bank is held criminally responsible FROM THE TOP DOWN.
